Secrecy and the Mysteries during the Middle Ages

This section covers the cruel treatment of Christian communities who were based on a Christian Mystery stream that arose in this period (roughly 7th Century AD to 18th Century AD). Although physically stamped out, the Mysteries existed under the veil of secrecy during the Middle Ages. Within this period the mystery streams, surviving underground, found expression in Florentine art.
